A Cut Above: AV Birch acquire rights for EMS Trusscut Saw

Midlands-based AV Birch Timber Engineering, have acquired the sole manufacturing, sales and service rights for the UK, EU and Africa from the original designers, Ellis Machinery Solutions Ltd.

Designed to make the cutting of timber for use in truss building, the EMS sets the standard. This saw is the perfect addition to any medium or high volume truss building operation where a fast, accurate and efficient method of cutting the timber components is essential.

AV Birch Timber Engineering already have extensive market penetration in the timber for construction sector, including the Uniroll nailplate press range and PanelMaster butterfly table. Director of AV Birch Timber Engineering, Scott Heyes; ‘The addition of the EMS Trusscut Saw now gives us the ability to offer our customers with the full package from Cutting truss and Timberframe timber to pressing nail plates in the manufacture of roof trusses, Metal web Joists and timber panels.’

The deal, concluded in March 2107, means that AV Birch Timber Engineering will be offering repairs, parts, service and support to all current and older EMS models.
